Skills North West is aimed at year groups 10,11,12 and 13.
Group visits take a lot of organisation and mean changes to the timetable but with the following benefits we think your school or college will reap the rewards.
- A visit to the Regional Skills Events will help you fulfil your statutory duty to allow students to access impartial and independent careers guidance
- A visit will help you, in tandem with Careers Advisers, to deliver advice to students as part of essential IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance)
- At Regional Skills Events students will gain a well informed understanding of the options and challenges facing them, ensuring they are well equipped to move to the next stage of education, employment or training.
- It will introduce students to skills, trades and professions they may never have considered and will help them form and collect evidence as part of their course/qualifications or act as a work related learning activity
- The event will ignite your students’ passions and inspire them to be the best of the best in their chosen future career
- A free range of resources will help prepare you and your students for your visit
- A visit to the event will help develop the knowledge, understanding and skills needed by a young person to manage their lives, now and in the future
