You can visit Skills Yorkshire and Humber at any time. With so much to see we offer special staggered slots for big groups so everyone gets a chance to try the interactive features. We recommend visiting the event for approximately two hours.

Loads of the companies there will want you to get involved in their demonstrations and activities. Many of them are running competitions so you can have fun and try to win some great prizes.

In 2011 some of the activities included: 

Where in the world do you want to go?
Chesterfield College hosted their Where in the World quiz along with loads of activities including hairdressing, fitness testing, information quizzes and electronic robots; as well as model babies, construction and the built environment.

Who dunnit?
The Sheffield College’s crime scene investigation team got visitors to solve a crime, identify unusual fruit and veg with the catering department and take to the air waves with Capital FM.

Turn on your future
Yorkshire Water challenged visitors to a rowing competition. 

Are you up to the challenge?
Barnsley College got visitors to compete in some exciting sports challenges. Testing fitness levels, coordination and strength through a range of tasks and activities.

Game on
Rotherham College of Arts and Technology computing team got interactive as they shared the latest developments in the world of gaming and let visitors try the latest hair styles with tips on taking your hairdressing career forward.

Get dressed up
The First4Skills stand encouraged visitors to dress the mannequin with the latest fashions from a local high street retailer.
